Kaptain Kangaroo was on air almost 30 years?

Dancing Bear was a beloved character from the children's television show Captain Kangaroo, which aired from 1955 to 1984.
Behind the bear costume was actor Henry R. (Bob) Keeshan's assistant, but the true identity of Dancing Bear was never overtly revealed to young viewers. He was simply part of the whimsical world created on Captain Kangaroo, and his performances became an enduring memory for many.
