Ecclesiastes 3:1 – Simple Explanation
"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Imagine a young farmer who planted an apple seed. Every morning he rushed outside, hoping to see apples. After a few weeks, there was nothing. He became discouraged and said, "Maybe this seed doesn't work."
An older farmer smiled and replied, "The seed is working—you just can't see it yet. Before it grows upward, it must grow downward."
So the young farmer waited.
Months passed. Deep beneath the soil, the roots were growing stronger. Then a small sprout appeared. Soon it became a tree, and in time it produced beautiful, healthy apples.
The fruit didn't come because the farmer worried. It came because the season was right.
Our lives are much the same.
We pray for healing, a new job, restoration, marriage, financial breakthrough, or answers. When nothing seems to happen, we often think God has forgotten us.
But God is never late.
Sometimes He's growing roots before He gives you fruit. He's preparing your character before your calling, your faith before your blessing, and your heart before your harvest.
If the farmer had dug up the seed because it wasn't growing fast enough, he would have destroyed the very thing he was waiting for.
Don't dig up what God has planted.
Trust His timing. Every promise has a season. Every prayer has a purpose. And when God's appointed time arrives, what He has prepared for you will come to pass.
Remember: God's delays are not God's denials. What He has for you will arrive at the right time.
