On this day in 1911, Hiram Bingham, an American archaeologist and a politician, discovered the ruins of Machu Picchu, which was named as one of the new seven wonders of the world in 2007.

An ancient Inca settlement in Peru that is now one of the world’s top tourist destinations, was discovered when Bingham arrived with a small team of explorers to search for the famous ‘lost’ cities of the Incas.

According to anecdotes, the explorer chopped his way through thick jungle, crawled across a bridge of slender logs bound together with vines and crept through underbrush hiding venomous fer-de-lance pit vipers to discover the hidden city.

📌Tips for working from home📌

1. GET DRESSED! Seems simple enough, but keeping up with that normal morning routine gets your brain into the work mindset.

2. DESIGNATE YOUR WORKSPACE! Everyone loves a clean, organized desk, right? Since we’re all working from home, temptations and distractions are EVERYWHERE! Set up a desk area in the spare room instead of your dining room table where you may be distracted.

3. STICK TO YOUR HOURS! Working overtime is easy to do when you don’t have others to remind you that it’s 5pm and time to go. When it hits 5pm, turn off your computer and leave the room. Doing that will help leave work behind until tomorrow so you can enjoy your family!

4. STAY CONNECTED! Working from home can feel lonely. Be sure to schedule video Team Happy Hours or Morning Coffee Talks where you can see each other and catch up!
