I am also the founder of Girl, You Are ENOUGH! -- a non-profit program dedicated to the well-being of girls and women. Community is an important facet of success. GYAE brings together girls and women for connection, accountability, affirmation, and access to knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for a healthy, happy life. Girl, You Are ENOUGH! offers a spring break camp, an annual event, and Ready for the World workshops for girls ages 8-18. Additionally, through the generous donations of community members, we provide "Clean Care Kits" -- high-quality hygiene products-- to initiate conversations about self-care and as one tool in dismantling bullying.

🚨Who can be victimized? Abusers can tell with almost a laser-like accuracy who is defended and protected and who is not.

Lack of safety and protection are primary sources of trauma. This is true in families, communities, and organizations.

Interesting that abusers recognize who is vulnerable and undefended/unprotected but the protectors do not.

Aloneness can happen to highly visible, high performing individuals just as much as those who appear to be on the fringes.

Nationwide, 81% of women and 43% of men reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault in their lifetime.

One in three female victims of completed or attempted r**e experienced it for the first time between the ages of 11 and 17.

Over half (52.4%) of male victims report being r**ed by an acquaintance and 15.1% by a stranger.

If one person is unsafe, no one is safe.
