This week we taught another CISM class. Thanks to DPH for hosting it for us. These folks were very grateful to learn. They participated in the role plays and learned how to lead a group or talk one on one. They are already working on building teams. Thankful for our instructors that work hard to build the passion in our students.

This week we are in Oconee County teaching GRIN for DPH. People from around the area are learning how to help those dealing in crisis. When are you taking the class?

This week we were in Barrow County teaching GRIN. Great mixture of Public Safety, mental health, and even someone who works a lot with teens. We have a class in Athens May 20-22 if you want to register.

The memories of trauma can be very overwhelming and can be very intrusive on your daily life. It can create complex ptsd when responding to call after call. Seeking help is okay. Finding a good trauma counselor can be difficult but worth it. When looking for one ensure they are trauma based. If the first one doesn’t work for you, don’t quit. You are strong enough to get help and healing is a possible.

We are blessed to be teaching at Freeport Bahamas this week. Our instructors are volunteering their time to help public safety, social workers and more learn how to deal with critical incident stress.
Also, look how they celebrate when an instructor has a birthday today.

We taught an Advanced Class this week in Bethlehem Georgia. An incredible group of first responders learning about how to do more.
We will be speaking in Freeport Bahama in November to educate them about crisis response to disasters. So many great things happening and we are blessed to have the instructors that we do.

Let’s get as many public safety and mental health folks trained in this crucial material. Things are happening all over and if we can know how to help each other deal with the stress of disaster we will all be better off.

Today we had the honor of playing and sponsoring the Ministry Village golf tournament. We teach a lot about stress management and today we managed stress by laughing at each other’s shots. We also helped a great organization.
