Today, we welcome Benaisha Poole-Watson, the FIRST Afro-Latina woman to own a bank. Benaisha is the embodiment of being a powerful force: she is the CEO of Prime One Home Loans, The Bailey-Watson Real Estate Group, an Air Force Veteran, is named one of the Top 100 Real Estate Agents in the United States, and has grossed over $2 billion dollars in personal sales.
Benaisha sits down with us to talk about her experiences while growing up in South Central LA, being raised by a single, Guatemalan mother, joining the Air Force and eventually becoming a single mother herself, earning $4 million dollars during her first year as a real estate agent, and how a business owner’s recommendation sparked her intrigue to create her own financing bank. Benaisha encountered emotionally traumatic situations at young ages, including her parents’ divorce and the loss of her sister.
