I spent the weekend in Oklahoma City with my best friend & her daughter. Our goal was to help her daughter see a vision for her first home.
She had a classic case of paralysis by analysis. She’s chosen some key large pieces of furniture, but hated them when they were delivered.
After hearing her concerns, it became clear that she did like the pieces, but wasn’t sure what else they needed to work in her space.
When I work with clients, it’s not about my styles or my preferences. I use the foundations of interior design, principles of color theory, and space planning to provide guidance.
Simply adding a rug, curtains and a basket were just what she needed to warm up the space. Ideally, the rug would be square, but since it’s difficult to find 10’ rugs on short notice, decisions were made & she couldn’t be happier! 😊
