Mzjackielove For over 20+ years I've enjoyed providing business support services to both local and online business owners.

As I build a new online business, I want to help others get organized and build their own online business.

I just say some stuff. That is how a workshop attendee described her prompting style, laughing, after showing me the generic junk AI gave her back.

If that is you too, here is something freeing: you do not need a prompting course. You need one afternoon and one shift.

The afternoon: learn the four-part ask. Context (who you are, who it is for), request (what you want, format and length), guardrails (what to avoid), example (one past piece you liked). That is the useful core of most paid courses.

The shift: stop perfecting prompts and build one workflow instead. Write your standing instructions once (one page: who you serve, how you sound with two real examples, what you never do). Write the steps of ONE repeating task like a recipe. Give it a day on your calendar. Done. The thinking happens once, and it carries you even on tired weeks.

Prompts improve answers. Workflows improve weeks. Full build steps are on the blog this week.

What repeating task would you hand to a workflow first? Tell me below.

I'm always doing admin stuff, and it drains me." A coach said that to me recently and I felt it in my chest, because the admin is the business none of us signed up for.

Here are the five AI systems I would put under any one-person coaching or consulting practice. Almost all of them start free:

1. VOICE AND CONTENT: your instructions written once, one topic in, a week of content out.
2. EMAIL AND FOLLOW-UP: AI drafts the client recap from your notes, you add the warmth and send.
3. MEETING NOTES: a free notetaker like Fathom summarizes every call with action items. Fastest win here; it pays back the first week.
4. WEEKLY REVIEW: one protected hour where you and your assistant process the week. Open loops out of your head, top three chosen.
5. INTAKE AND SCHEDULING: booking link plus a short form, AI turns answers into a one-paragraph brief you read before the first call.

The rule that matters most: build ONE. Run it a month. Then add the next.

Full builds and the one-hour starter system are on the blog this week. Which of the five do you need first?

Tell me and I will point you at the exact starting step.

Whatever portion of it AI can take over is your potential recovery, and now you're comparing that number against $20 a month, or against $0 on a free tier.

Can I be honest about something?

If AI has made you feel MORE overwhelmed, you are not doing it wrong. It was handed to you wrong.

Somebody told you to sign up, so you did. Now there is one more app, one more login, one more subscription you are not sure you use. As one solopreneur put it: "Too many apps, too many notifications, too many emails. I'm drowning."

The fix is smaller than you think. AI does not help by existing. It helps when you give it ONE job. Pick the one weekly task that drains you most. Write one page about it, like you were briefing an assistant: what the task is, who it is for, what you always include, what you never want, and one past example you liked. Paste that page in before you ask for anything.

That is the whole trick. One task, one page, one tool. No courses, no ten new apps, no becoming a tech person at 50.

What task would you hand off first?

I would love to hear it.

The cost of not using AI is real but invisible: it hides in the weekly hours spent on email, content, research, and admin writing that nobody ever adds up.

Most solopreneurs weigh the cost of AI tools. Almost nobody weighs the cost of doing everything manually. Here's the honest math, and a simple exercise to find your own number.
