People will pay a delivery fee, a service fee, and a convenience fee without hesitation…

But many won’t tip the person who walked the store, selected every item, loaded their vehicle, and delivered those groceries to the front door.

I see people online proudly saying they don’t tip their Shipt shopper, DoorDash driver, or delivery courier. That mindset misses something important:

These are service professionals. They are giving their time and effort so someone else’s life is easier.

In home care, we see the same thing every day.

Caregivers prepare meals, assist with bathing and dressing, provide transportation, pick up prescriptions, offer companionship, and sit beside loved ones when family members cannot be there.

Whether it’s a shopper, a delivery driver, or a caregiver, the people doing the hands-on work deserve respect, appreciation, and fair compensation.

The people who make life easier are often the people we value the least.
