I’ll admit it...seeing Amy Schumer share about working with me was pretty surreal. Heck, I was in People Magazine! And a lot of new faces found my page 🙌

And yes, that was fun. But that’s not my biggest flex.

My biggest flex is every family who went from dreading bedtime to actually looking forward to it.

It’s the parents who finally get an evening together after months (or years) of sitting beside a bed until their child falls asleep.

It’s the kids who are getting the restorative sleep they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

It’s the moms and dads who tell me they finally feel like themselves again because everyone in the house is sleeping.

That’s what matters most to me.

For the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of families transform bedtime with the REST Method®. And while the features, followers, and recognition are exciting, they will never compare to opening my inbox and reading messages like the ones in this post.

Because at the end of the day, the proof isn’t in the headlines. The proof is in the families who are finally getting the rest they deserve ❤️

To every parent who has trusted me with one of the hardest parts of raising little kids...thank you. It truly means the world to me.

“IT’S RIGGED!”

Raise your hand if you’ve also fallen victim time and time again to the addictive, meltdown-ensuing fraud that is the claw machine 😑

The hill I’ll always die on, as a toddler sleep expert of 10+ years ⤵️

Bedtime problems lead to sleep problems...and a late bedtime often causes a LOT of problems for children under 6, specifically.

If you feel like your kid is NEVER tired, it’s very likely you’re routinely missing their ideal sleep window and moving on to the dreaded second wind.

That second wind is a result of the stress hormones your child’s body produces when they stay up too late (which ultimately cause bedtime to be a fight, making it harder to fall asleep AND leading to early morning wake ups).

I feel very strongly that children under 6 should be ASLEEP by 8pm. So if you’re considering “bedtime” to be the beginning of your bedtime routine, I’d recommend starting by 7:30 at the very latest.

I understand that for many working parents, this recommendation can be frustrating! But at the end of the day, the amount of sleep your child needs to thrive isn’t dictated by your schedule. It’s biology 🤷🏻‍♀️ So, if you come to me with sleep issues and a late bedtime, I’m always going to focus on shifting bedtime first!

“It’s just a phase” has probably kept parents stuck longer than almost anything else 😵‍💫

Because if your toddler (or even your “big kid”):
👉Needs you to fall asleep
👉Wakes all night looking for you
👉Fights bedtime for an hour
👉 Or suddenly can’t sleep alone…
..there’s a good chance you’re not dealing with a temporary phase anymore.

You’re dealing with learned sleep habits. Which honestly makes sense. Most parents create these habits while exhausted and trying to survive bedtime!

But the longer those patterns repeat…the harder sleep becomes.

The good news? Sleep habits can absolutely change.

And my FREE Toddler Sleep Workshop shows you exactly where those 2am wakeups are REALLY coming from — and how to fix them without bedtime battles.
