Got a long Terms & Conditions document, lease, contract, or policy you don’t feel like decoding? 👀

Upload it to AI and ask questions in plain English.

Try this prompt:

“Analyze only the attached document. Do not add information or search the web. Explain the answers in simple language and tell me where in the document you found them.”

Then ask:

• What am I agreeing to?
• Are there fees or penalties?
• Can this agreement be canceled?
• What rights am I giving up?
• What clauses should I pay close attention to?

AI can help you understand the fine print faster. But don’t confuse explanation with legal advice. AI can misunderstand language or miss important context.

For anything legally or financially significant, verify the information and consult a qualified professional before signing.

GOVERNANCE IRL™: Would You Connect Your Bank Account to AI? 👀

I got an invitation in ChatGPT to connect my financial accounts through Plaid so its Finances feature could review recurring subscriptions.

My first thought?

Hmmm. Do I really want AI all up in my money? 😂

Then I put on my Governance IRL™ hat.

Instead of asking only, “Is it safe?” I asked:

✅ What information am I sharing?
✅ Why does the AI need access to it?
✅ What value am I getting in return?
✅ Can I limit what I connect?
✅ Can I disconnect it later?
✅ Am I sharing more information than the task actually requires?

In my case, I mainly want help finding subscriptions that are quietly nibbling away at my money every month.

And most of those charges are coming through one account.

So why connect everything?

That’s governance.

Governance doesn’t always mean a 47-page corporate policy nobody reads. 😂

Sometimes it simply means:

Give the technology only the access it needs to do the job.
Verify what it finds.
Then YOU decide what happens next.

That’s personal AI governance.

AI can review.
AI can flag.
AI can recommend.
But I’m still the Human in the Loop. 👑
