Monday Musing!
Trust isn’t complicated. We just make it that way.

It’s built (or broken) in the follow-through:
The meeting you said you’d schedule
The feedback you said you’d give
The support you said you’d offer

The fastest way to build trust?
Do what you said you would do. Every time.

This is one of the simplest—and hardest—things teams get right.
And it’s exactly the kind of work I help leaders design for.

In less than 10 minutes I discuss the Hidden Signs Your Team Doesn't Trust Each Other

Most teams don’t say they don’t trust each other… but you can feel it. It shows up in the small moments - what’s said, what’s not said, and how people show up with each other.
And over time, it impacts everything.

I went live to talk about The Hidden Signs Your Team Doesn’t Trust Each Other—and what leaders can actually do about it.

This isn’t about big, obvious breakdowns. It’s about the subtle patterns that quietly erode connection, clarity, and performance.

If you’ve ever had that feeling that something is just a little “off” on your team, this will help you put language to it - and start shifting it.

Tuesday Tip! If your team hesitates before speaking up, trust isn’t low… it’s calculated.
People are reading the room and deciding if it’s worth the risk.

Lower the risk.
Go first. Share something real, imperfect, or unfinished.

That’s how you shift the room.

This is the kind of shift I help leaders create with their teams—small moves that change everything.

Monday Musing!
Trust is not something you hope for.
It’s something you design.

Every meeting, every interaction, every response
is either building it… or eroding it.

You can’t demand trust.
But you can create the conditions where it grows.

That’s the real work of leadership.

Proud to share that I’ve completed my certification in Human-Centered Design through the LUMA Institute!

I’ve been weaving design thinking into my facilitation work for years—but going deeper with LUMA’s structured approach, tools, and “recipes” has taken it to a whole new level.

What I love most about this work is how practical it is. It gives teams a way to slow down, get curious, and make sure they’re solving the right problems before jumping to solutions.

I’m especially excited to bring this into my client work—helping teams:

elevate the human experience
better understand challenges and opportunities
and design more thoughtful, future-focused solutions

If you’re thinking about how to bring more innovation, clarity, or intention into your team’s work… I’d love to connect.

I’ve been thinking about innovation—but not the big, shiny kind.
The small moments.

The idea that doesn’t quite land.
The thing that feels a little off.
The one that almost gets said… and then doesn’t.

Most teams move past those quickly.

But sometimes that’s exactly where something interesting is trying to start.

The difference isn’t the idea.
It’s whether the environment gives it a chance to go anywhere.

I wrote more about that here: https://buff.ly/upgVjmP

Curious if you see this on your team.

Leaders ask for innovation, but often create conditions where ideas don’t survive. Here’s what actually makes new thinking possible—and why safety matters more than ideas.

Tuesday Tip!
If you’re waiting for innovation to show up in a meeting… it won’t.
Most workplaces are designed for efficiency, not imagination—and then we wonder why the ideas feel recycled.

Want better thinking? Disrupt the pattern.
Try this: give your team 5 minutes to solve a real work challenge using only drawings... no words allowed.
It’s uncomfortable. It’s a little messy. And it forces people out of their usual thinking patterns.

Because innovation doesn’t come from doing the same work, better - It comes from thinking in ways you haven’t before.

Curious what this could look like with your team? Let’s compare notes.

Monday Musing! Trust isn’t built in the big, polished moments—it’s built in the small ones we’re tempted to skip.
The quick check-in, the follow-up, the extra minute… done consistently and with care.... that’s where trust really grows.
What are you doing to build trust?

Back on the wheel last night! and for a really good reason :)

GnarWare Studio in Pilsen hosted a Bowl Throw Down to benefit Arts of Life, supporting artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they expand their creative practice and strengthen their leadership.

After a few months away in the UK, there was something deeply satisfying about sitting down, centering the clay, and letting my hands remember what to do. Muscle memory is a funny thing, it shows up like it never left.

And the room… full of friends creating, experimenting, getting a little messy without overthinking it.

No pressure to be perfect. Just the simple act of making.

A good reminder—creativity doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from space, permission, and a willingness to try.

Felt really good to be back.

I went live yesterday for World Creativity & Innovation Day and talked about how leaders unintentionally shut down creativity.

The big idea that stuck with me: Creativity isn’t something you demand—it’s something you design for.

If you missed it, I’d love to hear—what helps your team think more creatively?”
