Good morning ๐ŸŒž. It's been a minute since I've posted on FDTD. Life has been busy but it's been a good busy, so I'm not complaining. I've always said and believed that God is very strategic in His plans for us. Although things may look one way to us, one thing we should always remember is, His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. The one thing that we can be assured of is, with His way, all things will work together for our good. I do realize that sometimes it's hard to hold on to that perspective and mindset, but one question I ask myself to help keep me focused is, "will my way work out better than what He has planned?" And we all know the answer to that question ๐Ÿ˜…. So when you start growing tired of the season He has you in, just ask yourself, would your way turn out better? For me, I think I'll just hold on and wait for Him to work out all out ๐Ÿ˜Š because I am so sure His plans are way better than anything I can come out with๐Ÿ™‚.

I love this. Who are you talking to? ๐Ÿ˜Š

The other day, I was watching the movie Evan Almighty. For those who have never seen it, it's the story of a model day Noah. God tells Evan to build an ark in the 21st century, imagine that๐Ÿ˜ณ. While watching the movie, I was reminded of how often God will give us an assignment that is so big and at the moment, makes no sense to us, let alone, to those around us. The assignment may even make us look totally ridiculous, and sometimes that is a hard pill to swallow. But one thing I try to always remember is, God is very strategic in His plans for us. He doesn't give us His full plan, but He also doesn't ask us to do things or allows us to go through circumstances and situations a without purpose. But how we process this does make a difference. Although what God ask us to do may look and even feel crazy at the moment, we have to learn to put more trust in God's plan, that we can't see, and less in what we see at the moment. Yup, that's that faith thing๐Ÿ˜Š. Second Corinthians 4:18 tells us, what we see is temporary, but what God ask us to do will have eternal results. So push past the fear and do what God is calling you to do. Both you and others will be blessed through your obedience๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•.

At the nice age of 54, I am learning to accept that being "different" is okay. And that it's okay if the people in your circle don't understand what makes you different or why you are different. But you do need to know what sets you apart and why you have been set apart. Once you discover the "what" and the "why", you'll find your purpose. I realized at a young age that I was different, but it wasn't until my adult years that I learned why. Now, on one hand, that news offered a sense of peace but on the other hand, it brought about more questions, some that I'm still seeking answers to. However, despite the questions, accepting that "different" is not a bad thing can make a difference in how to handle being "different".

One of the hardest places for me to find lately is a place of contentment. Life for me isn't bad right now, but I still so often find myself always thinking about what's next. Earlier this week, I was reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 4:11-12, about being content in whatever state we are in, but sometimes that is so much easier said than done. Where, or maybe I should say, how can we find this "place of contentment" Paul is talking about. As I searched my heart this week looking for it, I realized Matthew 6:25-34 offers some help in the search when it tells us not to worry about what will happen tomorrow, but to be present in today. I also think 1 Thessalonians 5:18 gives more guidance in the search for contentment when it says, "give thanks in all circumstances". I believe, not worrying about tomorrow and being grateful in all things can put us on the path of being content in whatever state we are in. But this is a path that we have to chose to take, it doesn't come naturally. It is a choice that can bring great peace of mind and joy of heart. And remember, contentment doesn't mean settling, it simply means being grateful for where we are with faith and hope toward where we are going.

One thing I have come to believe in my walk with the Lord is, all events that happen in my life, (good and bad) plays a part in His completed work in me (Philippines 1:6). Which is why I believe He said in Roman 8:28 that all things will work together for the good for those who love Him. God never promises that this walk with Him will be trouble free but He did promise us benefits to and in our lives when we walk THROUGH the trouble times. The word through is a key word because it means there is another side to our troubles but we have to trust and believe that we will make it through to the good parts of life He promised. Weeping may endure for a night but joy does come in the morning (Psalms 30:5) because He said in His Word that it would. Hold on and be blessed. If you're having problems holding on, let's talk about it...fdtdlifecoach.com
