My goodness! Georgia DOES get cold! I had a cold, but beautiful wedding this past Saturday in Roswell at a gazebo outside with snow all around. Everyone of the guests was bundled like Arctic explorers and the bride came out in a short sleeve white summer wedding dress!!! It was beautiful! SHE was beautiful. I don't know how she made it through the ceremony without freezing. But when it was over, she RACED to her mother who was holding a warm coat for her.

Well, I have officiated over a thousand weddings here in Georgia and am closing in on 1,500 total since 1986. If you know anyone who is getting married, give them my phone number. They will be glad you did!

One thousand, three hundred, and twenty weddings over the past 37 years! Wow!! And it seems like just 36 years and 11 months, and 29 days ago!

So many amazing memories of beautiful venues and teary-eyed couples. And I have the best job of all, just basking in the radiating love they exude.

Five weddings in five days! Rome, Dallas, Atlanta, Dahlonega twice!
A lot of miles traveled, a lot of beautiful brides, and a lot of joy. I LOVE what I do. And where better to be married than in the gorgeous state of Georgia. I have officiated over 1,100 weddings now! My goal is to get every single adult in Georgia into the joys of matrimony. And then I will move on to other states.

I did it! I officiated my 1,000th wedding on May 14th in Cleveland, Georgia! A beautiful couple and a gorgeous mountain backdrop to their outdoor ceremony. Now that I have hit four digits, let's see if I can hit FIVE digits or 10,000 weddings! Except I would probably be 170 years old when it happened. But a guy's gotta dream.

Well, 2019 is in the books now. I finished the year with a lifetime total of 978 weddings. I have officiated 505 ceremonies in Georgia since I moved here in 2015. I have had weddings in 111 Georgia cities. Now it's time to spread the love in 2020!

Wow! Nine hundred and fifty-nine weddings over 33 years! If only I could remember all the faces. If only I could remember where I left my car keys! But there is a lot that I DO remember - gorgeous venues, grooms getting teared-up (and embarrassed), brides looking stunning walking down the aisle with their fathers (who are having second thoughts about giving them away), and amazing receptions decorated like the Queen of England was coming to eat barbecue with everyone. Now the big question is - who will be the 1,000th couple? That should happen around April of next year. Stay tuned!

Love is in the air! Just got back from a wedding at Callaway Gardens. What a gorgeous place for a couple to "get hitched". Surrounded by the beauty of nature all around and filled with the beauty of love inside. Great combination! Tell all of your single friends that being single is not worth it. Love makes the grass greener, the air sweeter, and the ice cream creamier. I am a man on a mission - to get everybody in Georgia married!

Well, I have now united 946 couples in marital bliss! Hooray! In a little while I will be into quadruple digits. And there are so many gorgeous places where couples can get married here in north Georgia, like Naylor Hall in Roswell where I was yesterday. And Piedmont Park (Greystone) where I officiated on Saturday. Cupid is working overtime!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

So many great memories of weddings over the past thirty-three years. But some really stand out. And I am sure I will never forget the wedding I officiated this past weekend at the Alpaca Tree House in the Bamboo Forest in Atlanta. Look them up. The wedding was beneath a gorgeous little tree house with a cozy loft nestled in a bamboo grove. Afterwards guests were able to feed the alpacas. Number 917 in my quest to officiate one million weddings in Georgia!

I have just passed my 900th wedding performed! At this rate there won't be any single people left in north Georgia by the year 3194 AD. It has been so much fun seeing the beauty of this amazing state of Georgia AND seeing so many, many couples so deeply in love. Two days ago I officiated next to the lovely Hiawassee River on a perfect afternoon. In three days I will be in gold country - Dahlonega. The fun never ends!
