Sharing for those who may not be aware: if you have a TikTok Business Account, check your account notifications.

I recently received a notification from TikTok requiring me to verify my business account by August 4, 2026. The notice states that if verification is not completed by the deadline, my Business Account will be converted to a Personal Account.

For my account, TikTok requested my IRS EIN Confirmation Letter as part of the verification process. Your requested documentation may vary.

If you've received a similar notification, don't wait until the last minute.

You can complete verification in one of two ways:

📱 Mobile App
• Open TikTok and go to Profile
• Tap the Menu (top right)
• Select Settings & Privacy
• Tap Account
• Select Business Verification
• Follow the prompts

💻 TikTok Business Center / Ads Manager
• Log in to your Business Center or Ads Manager account
• Navigate to Verification or Account Setup
• Enter your legal business information exactly as it appears on your business registration documents
• Upload the requested documentation and submit

I don't know if TikTok is requiring this for all Business Accounts or if it's being rolled out in phases, but it's worth checking your account if you use TikTok for your business.

Sharing in case this saves another small business from losing access to their Business Account features.
