In 2009, I was bartending at night and building a design portfolio by day. Scrappy doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Then a client asked if I could help them move, and everything changed.

Why movers won’t pack your plants (and what we do instead) 🌱

Plants are living, breathing things that need light, water, and stable temperatures. A moving truck is definitely not the ideal environment for your fiddle leaf fig.

Most moving companies have strict policies against transporting plants because they can’t guarantee they’ll survive the journey. Plus, some states have regulations about moving plants across borders to protect local ecosystems.

This is where a luxury move service makes all the difference. When our clients need to move plants we cushion them with paper and nestle them carefully in boxes, often a few days before the move so they can adjust to lower light. Then we load them in our own vehicles and transport them to your new home.

For this move, we chose to bring everything in through the French doors. It saved the crew lots of time having to navigate a narrow stair entry and was the most direct route into the house.
