I thought I was an introvert because I adapted to the pandemic's isolating effects. However, over the past few months, I realized I am an ambivert.
Presenting in person at the SASE - Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers and mingling amongst hundreds of professionals confirmed that I have both extravert and introverted tendencies.
Not only did I feel energized while presenting my topics "Professional Journeys, Identity, and Path to Leadership" and "The Science of Habits," -- I loved every conversation -- with the attendees and fellow speakers. Funny, intelligent, and influential are the words to describe the people I met.
Thank you to the SASE: Paraag Maddiwar, Khánh Vũ, Dennis Hirotsu, Jessica Moy for inviting me back to present. And Justin Sith, Kristen Pham, Tram Nguyen, and Zoe Imansjah for being excellent supporters during my sessions.
Thank you to my fellow speakers and facilitators: Jeanie Y. Chang, LMFT, CCTP, Payal Beri, Jim H. Lee, Calvin V Chen, Lawrence Huey, Aaron Lee, ACC, Krys Doctor, SHRM-SCP, Nozomi Morgan, and Li-Ming Pu. I'm looking forward to staying connected and supporting one another.
I would also like to thank Linda Akutagawa for introducing me to SASE in 2020 and the Asian Women Coaching Collective for helping me reconnect with the SASE team.
