𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 🇲🇽❤️💍
𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. We’ve been coming here for more than 35 years, and this beautiful colonial jewel box tucked into the heart of Mexico somehow keeps pulling us back. Apparently, we’ve passed that love along—𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲! ❤️💨💨💨
My oldest stepdaughter “Hijastra” is getting married in December, so 𝗔𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 and I headed down for a whirlwind few days of wedding planning. The matchmakers are planning another wedding—but this time, it’s personal! 💃🪩🕺Venues, flowers, food, details…and more details.
We happened to be there right around 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, so the whole city was especially magical. Flags, music, horses filling the streets and celebrations everywhere. San Miguel also seems to be having a little 𝘃𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗼 moment right now—and we are definitely here for it. 🤠🇲🇽 Cowboys, horses and a little tequila…when in Mexico!
And you know us—no matter how much wedding planning there is, we’re going to find time for fabulous food. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 is one of our all-time favorites, and we were lucky enough to be there during the season when it’s traditionally featured. 🌶️ With its gorgeous green, white and red, it was especially perfect during the Independence celebrations. Add stuffed squash blossoms over delicious mole and a few other incredible meals, and we managed to squeeze quite a lot into a very quick trip!
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀. And now getting to watch another daughter begin her marriage in a place that has meant so much to our family makes it even more special. ❤️
𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🇲🇽🥂💍
