Had the pleasure of milling up some absolutely beautiful White Oak. It is going to be turned into Shiplap for a new building. The White Oak logs came from the property where the building is going up.

When it came time to replace the dock boards, we decided to upgrade. Rather than replacing the boards with the 3/4 inch thick boards that were on there, we increased the thickness to 1.5 inches. What a difference it made! Now the dock feels stiffer, stronger, and more stable than ever.

Customer just picked up some beautiful Rainbow Poplar shiplap to install in his home. Can't wait to see it up in his house! We recently installed some Poplar Shiplap in our home. It came out great, even though it was not the Rainbow Poplar. The picture does not do the wall justice.

Finally! I just got a chance to mill up a Pig tree. It is amazing how the slabs remind me of slices of bacon. Even the sawdust smells like cooked bacon. It is almost enough to make you want to pick up a board and take a bite.

Loading up these giant White Oak slabs for a customer. They are destined for a restaurant in Atlanta. The slabs sitting on the forks weigh almost 2,000 pounds (in total)! Other slabs from the same tree have already been turned into tables and coffee tables. This tree was probably around 200 years old when it had to come down. It had reached the end of its life cycle. The homeowner did the right thing. Rather than have the tree fall on their home, causing significant damage and potential death. He had it taken down timely so that it would have a second life in homes and restaurants. The table in the picture was built by Harvest Custom.
