Attending a webinar: TrainingPros Presents: Go Micro! 20 Easy Ways to Make Microlearning a Success. Host author Carla Torgerson with Torrance Learning. Microlearning is content that is purposely shortened to enable the learner to fit learning within their work and personal lives. This is small learning units and short-term learning activities. For example:

1) prework--assignments sent before the learning event
2) boost learning --content follow up reminder sent to participants AFTER the main learning event
3) performance support--on the job help like job aids, check lists, repetition
4) short form learning--stand alone modules, videos, e-learning modules, an info-graphic, a LinkedIn post

As Instructional Designers/Learning & Development professionals, we should ask ourselves: What can I do to improve the learner's performance?
