We are a group of innovative teachers and leaders who facilitate authentic conversations about race, gender, class, religion, ethnicity, learning issues and other group identities for students, teachers and organization leaders. Our workshops enhance empathy, catalyze higher order ideas and stimulate critical thinking. Only when the differences that divide us are understood and accepted, can we mo

ve beyond them to embrace the deeper human qualities that unite us. Our high tech/high touch methods incorporate cutting edge technology, inquiry-based learning, web-based skills, self-study, interpersonal exercises and group processes. We demonstrate how teachers can integrate students’ real life experiences with school and capitalize on authentic developmental needs. Knowledge students gain from learning about themselves and each other builds the foundation for acquiring important academic skills. Creative agency arises through self-knowledge and empathetic listening and results from a skill set that can be taught. The dynamic potential of diversity lies in incorporating multiple perspectives and synthesizing solutions. When students understand how to tap into such potential, they are prepared to join the global community of the future.
