I haven't posted much lately because, well, this article sums it up to a tee! We all experience a loss of inspirations and motivation every now and then. This is definitely how I'm feeling right now.

How can one NOT be inspired by Diana Nyad?? Do you have an Xtreme Dream? Do you have the resolve to keep attempting to fulfill your dream after multiple failures, millions of dollars, and nearly everyone telling you that you are crazy for even trying?

After two days and two nights of swimming, Ms. Nyad touched the shores of Key West, Fla. She had become the first person to swim across the Straits of Florida without the protection of a shark cage. Her first attempt was 35 years ago.

"You have a dream 35 years ago – doesn't come to fruition, but you move on with life. But it's somewhere back there. Then you turn 60, and your mom just dies, and you're looking for something. And the dream comes waking out of your imagination."

"I got three messages," an exhausted and happy Nyad told reporters. Her face was sunburned and swollen. "One is we should never, ever give up. Two is you never are too old to chase your dreams. Three is it looks like a solitary sport, but it's a team," she said.

Diana Nyad was just 10 miles shy early Monday morning of reaching a goal she's been chasing for 35 years.
