I’ve had fantastic success with great teams, but this wouldn’t be real if I didn’t admit, I’ve also been kicked in the teeth more times than I care to remember. I’ve earned six figures in a single check, and I’ve wondered where the next check was going to come from. I’ve been a sales rep, sales consultant, entrepreneur and executive. I’ve asked myself the same questions you ask yourself each day about how to build my pipeline, close a certain deal and what the hell went wrong with the sale I was sure would close. AND I’VE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED TO BE IN SALES. There are many who say the sales profession is in trouble, 1 million jobs will be eliminated by 2020, but I say fine trim the herd. That just leaves more money for the rest of us who kick ass. Technology will never replace you or me, because we can create deals out of thin air, we are sales hunters, we have “real” relationships with people and we seek to be masters of our craft.
