As another school year in the US comes to a close, we are proud to highlight the significant impact made by Huber Helps sponsored Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) grants through PLTW - Project Lead The Way.

For nine schools, these grants made hands-on education and career-connected learning more accessible to underrepresented students, providing engaging curriculum and STEM specific trainings for educators for the 2025-2026 school year.

"Our students have demonstrated resilience and creativity by designing functional prototypes, analyzing real data, and presenting solutions to authentic problems,” shares a PLTW Engineering Teacher at Coretta Scott King Women’s Leadership Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. “Watching students go from having little to no exposure to confidently building and explaining systems has been one of the most rewarding aspects of growing this program."

As part of our continued partnership with PLTW and shared commitment to advancing high-quality STEM education, Huber Helps will be funding grants for eight more schools for the 2026–2027 school year.

During Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich diversity, resilience and cultural pride of AANHPI communities. Spanning more than 50 ethnic groups and over 100 languages, this group includes 24 million Asian Americans and 1.6 million Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders.

This year’s theme, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together,” reminds us that progress happens when we come together to build understanding, belonging and shared success.

At Huber, this message comes to life through collaboration, curiosity and a commitment to learning from one another. Through sharing our unique backgrounds and perspectives, we’re able to come together to build stronger communities within Huber and beyond.

The Geschwister Scholl was awarded a $97,000 Impact Your Community (IYC) grant to build a new multifunctional soccer field for the Bergheim, Germany, community.

The field officially opened on May 13, 2026, with a celebratory tournament bringing together fourth-generation Huber family member Christopher Seely, Huber employees from both the local Martinswerk plant and our office in Atlanta, Georgia, school faculty, students and local community representatives.

“I had the pleasure of working with the school to submit the funding application and I am excited for this project to come to life. As an alumnus of the school, I’m proud to see the company I work for investing in the wellness of our community,” said Marco Varwig, Senior Human Resources Manager, Huber Advanced Materials.

Fueled by employee nominations, Huber utilizes the annual IYC program to fund Housing, Environment and Education & Wellness causes on a global scale in local communities where Huber operates.

Through the Gary Sinise Foundation’s (GSF) Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) Program, U.S. Army Captain (Ret.) Leslie Smith has officially received her brand-new, custom-built smart home—supported with both cash donation and donated Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) products.

GSF’s R.I.S.E. program builds specially adapted smart homes for America’s most severely wounded veterans and first responders, as well as their families.

Huber’s President & CEO, Glenn Fish, had the honor of sharing a few words during Leslie’s Home Dedication ceremony in Franklin, Tennessee, last Thursday, May 7. Located near HEW’s Spring City, Tennessee, plant, Glenn was joined by multiple employees, as well as members of the Huber family, to celebrate and honor such a remarkable hero.

Huber is honored to be able to partner with GSF and give back to the heroes who have selflessly sacrificed so much.

It’s been an amazing week at the Habitat for Humanity 2026 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.

Huber employees from our Atlanta office teamed up with hundreds of volunteers from all around the country to build 24 new houses in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia.

Rain or shine, these groups measured, cut and painted their way through the week. Some lucky participants even had the opportunity to install donated Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) products, making the experience all the more special.

We’re so thankful to have been able to serve as a Gold Sponsor for this year’s Carter Work Project, and congratulate the 24 new homeowners on this next chapter in their stories.

Taking place April 24–30, 2026, Global Intergenerational Week (GIW) brings individuals, families, workplaces and communities together to celebrate the meaningful connections across age groups and the unique value every generation offers.

To celebrate GIW, we highlighted different intergenerational connections across the enterprise. This included insights from Lyanne Anwar, Analytical Chemist (HSM), who is a current participant in Huber’s Mentoring Program alongside her co-mentee Kate Wray, Technical Support Specialist at Huber AgroSolutions (HAS) and her mentor Leticia Sonon, Senior Field Biologist (HAS). By meeting regularly over the course of a year, these formal mentorship pairs create the opportunity for participants to expand their networks, develop new skills and participate in meaningful, authentic conversations.

Additionally, Huber’s Young Professionals (YP) Employee Resource Group (ERG) partnered with the Veterans Engaging Together For Success (VETS) ERG to host a leadership panel earlier this week. Featuring perspectives from a wide range of career stages, the event centered around simple, actionable principles to help leaders navigate challenges, build trust and maintain strong, effective teams.

The Quincy Family YMCA has been awarded an Impact Your Community (IYC) grant to support major renovations to the organization’s gymnasium.

Promoting health and well-being within the Quincy, Illinois area for over 170 years, this funding will further strengthen the YMCA’s ability to serve local children, families and community members for years to come.

“This project is aimed at honoring our history while building a stronger future—providing a modern, inspiring gymnasium that will continue to serve as a catalyst for health, connection, and opportunity for decades to come,” shares Plant Controller, Brenda Wheeler, who submitted the IYC application on behalf of the YMCA. “This renovation is more than a facelift; it is a generational investment that will serve over 20,000 individuals through recreational activities and community programs.”

Through Huber Helps’ annual sponsorship of the Arbor Day Foundation (ADF), Huber has planted 625,000 trees since 2020—and every one of them tells a story.

This Arbor Day, we’re helping ADF kick off the Million Trees Project. With this global initiative, ADF’s goal is to collect personal tree stories from around the world, all while planting 1 million new trees in communities.

A huge thank you goes out to all of the Huber employees and family members who participated in Chattahoochee Riverkeeper's (CRK) 16th Annual Sweep the H***h!

Each year, this watershed-wide trash cleanup brings together hundreds of volunteers at dozens of parks, tributaries and access points along the Chattahoochee River. A total of 1,400 volunteers removed over 32 tons of trash from the Chattahoochee River this past Saturday at 67 cleanup sites.

Huber is a proud annual sponsor of the CRK Floating Classroom that provides access to water stewardship education to youth in Georgia. We look forward to continuing our partnership as they protect and serve the Chattahoochee River through meaningful advocacy, collaboration and communication.
