A milkman looked out at these lakes in 1948 and saw something worth building. 78 years later, his grandkids are still here — still showing up, still pouring their heart into every boat, every customer, every season.

We grew up hearing about the Octagon House in Watertown. Never stopped in. Wish we had sooner.

What you don’t see from the road is the people behind it. Local volunteers who show up because they love this place — keeping 170 years of history alive, one tour at a time. Jodi leads the charge, and the dedication inside those eight walls is something else entirely.

Two buildings. One property. And a community of people who refuse to let it be forgotten.

75 years. Three generations. One Oconomowoc institution. 🏡

It started with an electrician, a housing boom, and the belief that everybody needs a good appliance. That was 1949. Today, Dave Radtke carries on what his father built — alongside his sons Ryan, Chris, daughter-in-law Bonnie, and a team that treats every customer like a neighbor. Because they are.
