BEAVER ACTIVITY IS PICKING UP ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA!
As temperatures begin to drop, we're seeing an increase in calls for Beaver Trapping & Beaver Control throughout North Georgia.
Fall is a particularly busy time for beavers as they prepare for winter, repair dams, reinforce lodges, and stockpile food.
Unfortunately, all that activity can mean serious trouble for property owners!
BEAVERS CAN CAUSE EXTENSIVE PROPERTY DAMAGE, including:
Tree Destruction: Beavers can take down mature trees, damage valuable landscaping, and strip bark from trees along ponds, creeks, and rivers.
Flooding & Drainage Issues: Beaver dams can block culverts, drainage systems, and waterways, causing flooding of yards, roads, pastures, and neighboring properties.
Dam & Lodge Construction: Beaver activity can dramatically alter water levels, damage pond banks, and interfere with natural drainage.
Recurring Beaver Problems: Simply tearing down a beaver dam rarely solves the problem. If the beavers remain, they can quickly rebuild!
WHAT MAKES OUR BEAVER TRAPPING PROGRAM DIFFERENT?
At Southern Wildlife Management, we don't believe in setting a few traps and hoping for the best.
We take an ACTIVE, AGGRESSIVE APPROACH TO BEAVER TRAPPING & REMOVAL, strategically placing traps in areas of established beaver activity and working diligently to remove nuisance beavers from your property.
WE CHECK OUR TRAPS EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Daily trap inspections are not just part of our professional trapping program—they're required by Georgia law for applicable trapping methods. We take those responsibilities seriously.
Our daily visits also allow us to assess activity, evaluate trap placement, and make adjustments when necessary. Rather than leaving traps in the same locations regardless of results, we actively manage our trapping program to maximize effectiveness.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Beavers are intelligent, cautious animals, and successful removal often requires experience, persistence, and an understanding of their behavior. Our goal is to efficiently address the beaver population responsible for your property damage—not simply remove one beaver and assume the problem is solved.
SEEING FRESHLY CHEWED TREES, RISING WATER LEVELS, OR NEW BEAVER DAMS?
Don't wait until a fallen tree, flooded driveway, or damaged drainage system becomes an expensive problem.
