Dear Speaker Ralston, Rep. Jasperse and staff;
Re: HB 1378; https://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/62206
HB 1378 is a reckless and overreach of legislation to make decisions for religious places. Passing a law that removes the authority of places of worship from unauthorized locations; permitting weapons or long guns can only be decided by the leaders of that religious home.
Places of worship must be able to decide to ban weapons from their premises, providing safety and sanctuary for their congregants.
We urge you to ensure that HB 1378 does not receive a vote and that the authority on weapons/guns remain with our worship leaders.
Thank you for helping keep Georgia safe.
