I'm Drake Barber Founder and CEO of Higher Ground Artist Management Group. I started this company because I have always been interested in what goes on behind the scenes as it relates to the professional dealings of an artist. I often watched as my Aunt produced concerts for her college campus. The thing that grabbed my attention the most was how she closely dealt with the artist managers to make

sure every detail was smoothly ironed out. As I got older, I thought about how I could start my own business to help aid in the professional lives of christian artist. In having seen a great deal of christian independent artist, most are lacking the professional services needed to make sure the "behind-the-scenes" dealings are smoothly taken care of. It can be a stressful thing to deal with contracts, bookings, wardrobe changes, and payment arrangements. I want to make sure these artist get the proper treatment that is due them. When an artist performs, they shouldn't have to think about if their going to get paid or whether their sound check settings will be saved. I am putting this company in place to relive some of those worries. God has really led me to put this in place.
