Our group comes together to focus our energy as a community to contribute to the landscape of our profession and our state. Understanding the importance of infrastructure to our civilization, we work to protect and promote infrastructure projects.

On August 21-23, members of the GA YMG traveled to Reston, Virginia, for YMLS and the YMLS Alumni Summit! The weekend was packed with leadership development, new connections, and fresh ideas to bring back to our younger member community here in Georgia.

Huge thanks to S&ME for opening your lab to our ASCE Georgia Younger Members last Friday! From geotechnical sampling and testing to asphalt and concrete mix design, it was incredible to get a behind-the-scenes look at the science that keeps our infrastructure strong.

We had a blast asking questions, seeing the equipment in action, and learning from such a knowledgeable team. Thank you for sharing your expertise and giving us an experience we won’t forget. We can’t wait for the next industry tour!
