It was a natural transition from dancer, teacher, and choreographer to professional dance photographer for Amanda Neeley. With 20 years experience in the discipline of dance with a focus on ballet, Amanda brings a sharp eye for correct technique and artistic composition to her images. Dancing professionally with the Georgia Ballet, Amanda has performed in such classics as Giselle, Carmen, The Sleeping Beauty and contemporary work I Never Saw Another Butterfly. Amanda started teaching while at The Georgia Ballet and has continued teaching for the past 18 years at Impact Dance of Atlanta where many of her students are accepted to national summer programs, compete at YAGP, as well as dance professionally with Miami City Ballet and Ballet Magnificat. With her students serving as great inspiration, it was here that Amanda's immense love for the art of dance and passion for photography linked and grew into a professional photography career that in addition to dance includes weddings /engagement and event portraiture. Amanda studied photography at Georgia State University and continued at the Creative Circus and Showcase School of Photography in Atlanta. Consistently striving for excellence in technique and staying connected with current photography trends, Amanda regularly attends photographic workshops, seminars, and travels to national photography conventions. She is active in the photography community having past served as program coordinator for the Cherokee Photography Club. Amanda volunteers her photographic talent by often photographing events for the Atlanta Symphony Associates fundraising efforts for the symphony. For the past 10 years Amanda's company, AMN Photography, has grown into a prosperous business photographing head shots, dance portfolio work, custom dance portraits, audition requirement photos, and stage performances for hundreds of metro atlanta students and professional dancers each year. She is currently serving as the company photographer for Impact Dance of Atlanta. Amanda is passionate about creating photographic art work for dancers that showcases their hard work and dedication to the art form.
