When one of your people gets hurt, whose shortcut ends up on trial?
Everyone points to the employee. He rushed. He skipped a step. But that is not the shortcut you will be asked about.
You will be asked: Did you verify he was trained, or just that he signed a sheet? A signature is not training. A slideshow is not proof. And "we've always done it that way" is not a defense.
The employee's shortcut lasts a second. The employer's shortcut, the missing records and the skipped verification, is the one that costs millions.
Ask the question before the accident does.
