Try out the Vanilla Champagne Cocktail when you ring in the New Year or at your next celebration! This is the perfect way to add some more depth to the classic champagne.

Ingredients:

1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine

1/2 cup of simple syrup

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 sliced vanilla bean (optional)

Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Combine the simple syrup and vanilla extract in a small bowl and mix well.

Pour the mixture into a champagne flute or other tall glass.

Slowly add the champagne or sparkling wine to the glass, stirring gently to combine.

Garnish with sliced vanilla bean and fresh fruit, if desired.

Serve chilled and enjoy!

Note: If you don't have simple syrup on hand, you can make it by combining equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. Let the syrup cool before using it in the cocktail

Here is a simple recipe for homemade vanilla ice cream:

Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into a metal loaf pan and place it in the freezer for about 1 hour, or until it begins to harden around the edges.
Using a fork, scrape the mixture from the edges towards the center of the pan. Return the pan to the freezer and repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes until the mixture is fully frozen, about 3-4 hours in total.

Serve the ice cream in bowls or cones and enjoy!

You can also use an electric ice cream maker to churn the mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions.
