Something happens when nobody is watching you.

In most movement spaces, someone is correcting your form. Adjusting your alignment. Watching to see if you are doing it right. And even when the teacher is kind about it, your nervous system registers the attention and holds everything a little tighter.

In this room, the teacher carefully manages pressure and guides your nervous system toward what we call spontaneous meditation. You don't adjust to achieve a pose, you move in response to what your body is telling you. You remain in it longer so your system can learn how to meet and navigate what you perceive.

It lets go.

Not because you told it to. Not because you breathed a certain way or visualized anything. Because the surveillance was removed. And your nervous system, for the first time in maybe years, does not have to perform.

I see it all the time. Someone new will come in rigid, watching everyone else, trying to match what they see. By the third class something shifts. They stop looking around. Their jaw unclenches. Their breath changes without them noticing.

That is where the work happens. Not in the position. In the absence of being watched.

What would your body do if no one was looking?

Most people arrive with a script.

My back is bad. My hips are tight. I cannot do that. I have always been stiff. My doctor said I should not.

We carry these stories for years. They become part of how we introduce ourselves to any new movement practice. Here is what is wrong with me. Here is what you need to work around.

What I notice is that after a few months of practice, the script gets quieter. Not because someone told you to stop saying those things. Because your body started telling you a different story.

The hip you called tight started to open. Not because you forced it. Because you held a position long enough for your nervous system to let go of whatever it was guarding. The back you called bad started to feel different. Not fixed. Just more available.

You stop explaining yourself to your body and start listening to what it actually has to say. It turns out your body was never waiting for your permission. It was waiting for your attention.

That is the shift most people do not expect. They come in wanting to fix something. They stay because they realized nothing was broken.

He watched her walk across the room and knew.

Ravi Kaiut reads bodies the way most people read faces. The hip that compensates, the shoulder that guards, the ankle that never fully healed. He grew up inside the Kaiut method, not as a student, but as Francisco Kaiut's son. He did not learn this from a training manual. He learned it by watching his father work with thousands of bodies over thirty years.

When Ravi sees someone walk, he sees the story their body is telling. The old injury that changed how they distribute weight. The holding pattern that shows up as tension in the jaw. The knee that does extra work because the hip checked out years ago.

Most of us go through life not being seen this way. We see doctors who look at scans. Trainers who look at form. Friends who ask how we feel. But almost nobody looks at our body the way Ravi does, as a complete system, with a history, telling a story that makes perfect sense once you know how to read it.

He doesn't come often, but when he does, it really counts.

If that sounds like something your body has been waiting for, come take a class and we will tell you all about it.

Last week, a student who has practiced for fifteen years discovered tension in her jaw she never knew existed.

Not because the poses changed. They did not. The same positions, the same long holds, the same quiet room. But her body kept revealing things it has been holding onto for decades. Layer after layer. Things that only surface when the nervous system trusts the process enough to let them go.

Another student realized his left hip had been compensating for an old ankle injury from high school. Forty years of compensation. He found it in a Tuesday morning class, working with a standing pose designed to help him perceive the compensatory patterns in his gait.

The practice does not plateau because your nervous system does not plateau. It keeps adapting, keeps protecting, keeps storing information. And the deeper you go, the more there is to find.

This is why people practice for twenty years and still have moments where their body surprises them. Not because they are doing something wrong. Because they are finally ready to find what has been waiting.

Ravi Kaiut grew up watching this process unfold. He is coming to Austin April 22-26 to work with our community. Come take a class and ask us about it.

We spend years trying to fix what we think is wrong with our bodies.

That tight hip was not broken. It was speaking in the only language it had left. Your locked shoulder was not failing you. It was holding a pattern you needed to survive something. The pain that wakes you up at night is not punishment. It is your nervous system asking you to pay attention.

Your body was never the problem. It was doing exactly what it needed to do with the information it had. Every restriction, every compensation, every spot that aches, it all makes sense when you know the story.

The practice does not fix you. It gives you ears to hear what your body has been trying to tell you. And once you hear it, everything changes. Not overnight. Not dramatically. But deeply.

This is what Francisco Kaiut discovered over thirty years of working with bodies. And this is what his son Ravi brings when he visits Austin on April 22. A way of seeing the body that does not start with what is wrong. It starts with what is true.

Come take a class. We would love to tell you more.

Not flexibility. Function.

What to expect in your first class: you will rest on the floor. A lot.

The practice works from the ground up. Floor sequences open the joints that chairs have closed.

No experience necessary. No flexibility required. Every body is different. Every practice is different. You do not need to keep up.

Sixty minutes. You will feel things you have not felt in years. That is the point.

Come take a class. 3 classes for $45. No experience needed.
