Attacks in name of religion in Pakistan on the rise …

While I was returning from Lala Musa on the night of March 22nd, I received a call from Sheikhupura, a city in Punjab. The caller was Riyasat Masih, the father of Waqas Masih.

Waqas Masih was a worker at a recycling factory, where he separated cardboard, books, and copies. Among these were books and pages containing Quranic passages and Islamic studies material. One of his Muslim coworkers saw this and accused him of defiling the sacred texts by touching them. He then demanded that Waqas convert to Islam.

This harassment continued for a month, and on March 22nd, the Muslim coworker once again pressured Waqas to renounce Christianity. When Waqas refused, the man took the blade used for cutting cardboard and slit Waqas's jugular vein.

Angel Nadeem, a resident of Lala Musa, a city in Punjab, is 13–14 years old and suffers from mental illness. She is only 2 feet 9 inches tall. To attend the 6 AM Mass, she woke up her family. She then stepped outside to wait for them so they could go to church together.

While she was outside, a local gangster, Raheel Butt—nicknamed Billa Butt—who is also the father of eight children, abducted her and took her to the abandoned train cabins. There, he r***d her.

One of Angel’s relatives saw Raheel taking her there and became suspicious. When he checked the house and realized Angel was missing, he rushed to the train cabin. There, he caught Raheel in the act. Raheel, who was unclothed, immediately fled, leaving his clothes behind.

Angel’s mother, who was paralyzed from the neck down, suffered a heart attack upon hearing the news. The family approached us and told us everything.

Please pray for Angel so that she may receive justice and that the ra**st gets the punishment he deserves.

This orphanage is very close to my heart. The children here are cared and loved by a small group individuals who have made it their life’s purpose to care for these children. These children have seen the worst and are living with unimaginable grief from due the loss of their parents by extreme religious groups in Pakistan that target Christians. -please donate if you can.
