With more employees competing for limited spaces, cars are often jammed diagonally in spots, propped up on curbs or left on gravelly medians. Some workers sleep in their cars to save spots.

The Assessment Study by the Texas Transportation Institute passed CTRMA today!

The CTRMA, CAMPO, Cap Metro & the City of Austin are joining together in this important first step to have TTI assess the feasibility, cost & ridership.

I am very proud of the City of Austin & Travis County for investigating new technologies that could create entirely new ways to get around the city that fit our budget and lifestyle!

This is a small but important step towards a Smart Transportation City. One where many modes, PRT, Autonomous Vehicles, Bus, Train, Car Share, Bike Share, Walking & Riding work together to give many options without requiring major cultural shifts!

Using all technologies to add meaningful supply wherever we can is the real traffic solution!

Stay tuned much more to come!
