Today moved slow — the good kind of slow. The kind that reminds you that peace doesn’t always come in grand moments; sometimes it’s in the quiet rhythm of a Monday at home.
We did homeschool today, taking our time and learning at our own pace. No rush, no pressure — just patience, focus, and connection. Watching my son learn reminds me why I chose this path. It’s more than education; it’s bonding, growing, and shaping the future one calm day at a time.
Lunch was simple and satisfying — chicken nuggets, grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt, and a granola bar. Nothing fancy, just comfort on a plate. It hit the spot, especially paired with an easy afternoon mood.
By dinnertime, we settled in for a warm bowl of soup — that kind that makes you exhale with gratitude. After a day of homeschooling and home-cooked simplicity, that soup felt like the final touch of comfort we didn’t even know we needed.
Later on, I found myself diving into conversation about Marvin Gaye — the man, the voice, the legend. We talked about his song “I Want You” and how Marvin sang with his whole soul — not just about love, but about longing, honesty, and emotional truth. The way he could turn a simple phrase into something spiritual is rare. It made me reflect on how music, just like food, feeds the spirit when it’s made with real feeling.
As the night closed in, I sat for a moment just taking it all in — my son learning and growing, the warmth of good food, the echo of Marvin’s voice in my head. Life’s not always easy, but tonight it felt balanced. Real. Full of gratitude.
