We have exciting news for the summer! B&T Meats will be bringing a meat truck to the resort on Mondays, beginning on June 9th. If you are spending the week and want one less thing to pack you can preorder and pick up on Monday or you can shop at the trailer. We have tried many of the products and everything has been amazing. We also have their smoked ribs on our dinner menu. Please see the flyer below for more details.

Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Independent School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the following sites and times:

Waubun School:
June 2nd to 26th 2025 Mon-Thurs
Breakfast 7:45-8:45am Lunch 11:00am-12:30pm

Ogema School:
August 11th to 21st, 2025 Mon-Thurs
Breakfast 8:00-8:45am Lunch 11:15am-Noon

Would You Like to Bring the Indigenous Parent Leadership Initiative to your Tribal Nation or Organization?

The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), through its Child Safety and Permanency Division, in partnership with Indigenous Visioning, LLC and the National Parent Leadership Institute (NPLI) will be seeking proposals from qualified Tribal Nations and American Indian organizations to implement the Indigenous Parent Leadership Initiative, a nationally accredited and evidence-based parent leadership curriculum that is culturally infused and customized to empower tribal communities.

What is INDIGEBOX?

INDIGEBOX is a wonderful resource that will allow teachers and their students to explore Ojibwe values and customs in early learning settings complete with lesson activities that meet early childhood criteria. INDIGEBOX is offered four (4) times a year and shipped out on a quarterly basis.

Each INDIGEBOX contains activities and materials for 20 children and includes:
Four activity pages related to the seasonal theme
A variety of materials that can be used with the lesson activities
A book based on a seasonal theme
An Indigenous art item
A teacher appreciation gift
A resource magazine
