Jake FB Game #4 vs Warriors: This game started out nervous--we scored pretty fast and then they did too. Everyone got in trouble and started playing harder and soon we were up by 20. Since the head coach was gone they did different things like giving g the ball to main linemen and trying to let them make TDs. Jake got to play a bunch of time on Defense too. We won 32-7

Sam FB game #4 vs. Warriors: This was a fun good game. Sam played Defense and got 2 major tackles and also kicked off (and also had the tackle on the kickoff--when it looks like the kid just hits a wall...that was Sam). Great game to play, and we won 21-0

JC FB game #3: This was a game that it seemed they played half asleep until the end. We scored twice and made a field go...

JC FB game #3: This was a game that it seemed they played half asleep until the end. We scored twice and made a field goal. The other team scored once, and we were winning 14-6 at the half. It was 100 degrees and sweltering. Then, in the last 3 minutes of 4th Q, the other team got an interception and scored again...and suddenly it was 14-12 and everyone got a little nervous. The other team was driving down to score again as the game gratefully came to an end. JC got recognized at the end because we were on 4th down with only a few yards and the coaches thought, oh crap we should have called a freeze play (meaning you trick the other team into false starting which gets you 5 yards) but oh well, too late...and as they watched, the team ran a freeze play...when they asked why later the players said it had been JCs idea (which is what Coach Charles always told him to do last year) So Coach Tee told him thanks and good job. We won 14-12 and invited all the players over to swim in our pool for the evening. Fun hot day 💛🧡💛🧡💜💜💜

Sam FB game #3 vs. Trojans: Sam had a great game! He played offense and did great blocking to clear the way for the running backs. Then he played Defense and got 4 tackles including grabbing a guys leg, and also falling behind the ball carrier who then tripped over him. He kicked off 4 times and his team won the game 22-2

Jake FB game #2 vs. Bullpups: This was the "Let's learn to kick a field goal" game. It looks easy, but getting a fieldgoal means 3 different people have to do a task correctly. 1. The Center (JC) has to do a "long snap" which means he has to shove the ball low but also far and he is supposed to spin the ball even so it's easier to catch. This is different from a regular snap. 2. The next guy has to catch the ball and then position it for the kicker (without fumbling it around or dropping it). Then 3, if both these things happen, the kicker kicks it high enough that it goes through the goalposts, and all of this has to happen before the defense plows all of them over. We kicked 3 fieldgoals this game. We missed 2 and finally made the 3rd! Very exciting! And we also won the game 19-0
