Before & After | River Falls, WI 📍

Another project coming together at this beautiful new pole shed build!

The homeowner wanted to protect the soil around his new building from roof runoff and eliminate mud splashing against the siding.

Our solution?

We installed a landscape bed extending beyond the roof’s drip line, featuring large river rock and natural limestone edging for a clean, functional finish!

As a last-minute addition, we incorporated a few natural flagstone steppers for safer access to the rear entrance.

We’ll be back next spring to finish things off with seed and straw!

🪨 PROJECT: THE PROVING GROUNDS

Some projects challenge your skills. Others challenge everything you’ve got.

This one did both.

We nicknamed this project “The Proving Grounds” because that’s exactly what it became.

Between the physical demands, the mental exhaustion, the unexpected challenges, and the countless lessons learned, this was hands down one of the toughest projects we’ve taken on.

There were moments when I genuinely questioned whether I had bitten off more than I could chew.

But quitting wasn’t an option.

Every setback became a lesson. Every challenge forced me to think differently, adapt, and improve my craftsmanship.

Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of the finished product. But what makes this project special isn’t just the natural limestone walls, tiered garden beds, or staircase.

It’s knowing how much growth happened between the before and after pictures.

This project didn’t just test my abilities. It helped build them.
