Every Kilowatt Hour that goes out onto the grid from these solar fields is worth a certain dollar amount that your utility is REQUIRED to apply as a credit onto your electrical bill.

Maryland legislation was passed in 2019 that allows Solar Incentive programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This allows utility customers like you to sign up with local solar fields and receive a discount on your electric bill based on the production generated by those fields.
