What does it really take to build relationships that move organizations forward?

At this year's Lead Like Your Legacy Depends On It | Baltimore Summit, John Dinkel brought an important perspective to the conversation about leadership, relationships, and the power of meaningful connections.

Leadership doesn't happen in isolation. The relationships we build, the trust we establish, and the opportunities we create through collaboration all contribute to building organizations that last.

Thank you, John, for sharing your insights and being part of BUILT TO LAST!

Intimate partner violence touches more of our lives than we care to talk about. That makes me especially grateful for organizations like House Of Ruth Maryland, Inc. and the safety, support, and hope they provide to survivors and their children. đź’ś

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending their 24th Annual Crabaret with Taelor Davis and connecting with Alana Miller and Dr. Jamie Brewer.

Congratulations to Executive Director Katie Allston and the entire team on an amazing event for such an important cause. Grateful to have been there and to support this work.

What happens once you’re inside the room?

Robert D. Matthews and Tisha Edwards brought this question to life in an amazing fireside conversation, “Inside the Room,” at our Lead Like Your Legacy Depends On It summit in Baltimore.

So many gems about leadership, trust, credibility, and the responsibility that comes with influence. Being invited into a room is one thing. Building trust and understanding how your leadership is experienced by others requires ongoing reflection and intentionality.

This is why I create these spaces. Candid conversations that challenge us to examine how we lead, what we bring into the room, and the impact we leave on people.

Sharing the first round of photos from a day filled with insight, connection, and an audience ready to lean in!

More moments to come. 📸

One week ago, I stood before a room full of leaders. Today, I’m still taking it all in.

I have so many photos to share from Lead Like Your Legacy Depends On It: Baltimore 2026 | Built to Last, and I can hardly decide where to begin. While I’ve been sharing your reflections and posts, I’ve been holding onto a simple feeling: gratitude.

This photo captures something special for me. Looking out at that room, I saw people who carry tremendous responsibility choosing to make time for their own growth and for one another.

That is why I convene this summit. Strengthening leaders helps strengthen the people, organizations, and communities they serve.

To every attendee, speaker, sponsor, and person who helped bring this day to life: thank you. Thank you for your trust, your candor, your energy, and your willingness to learn together.

More moments and reflections are coming. For now, my heart is full.

Baltimore, thank you for being in the room. ❤️

Delighted to have had Jacob William Advisory in the room. Great day for leaders.

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Fello’s 65th anniversary dinner. What an amazing evening celebrating 65 years of impact, advocacy, and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities!

Thank you, Arnold Farmer, for the invitation. It was wonderful to connect with others who care deeply about creating communities where everyone belongs. A special thank-you to Brandy Stephens for your warmth and the incredible work you do at Fello.

As someone who believes that people drive performance, I left inspired by the people and leadership behind this enduring legacy.

Congratulations, Fello, on 65 years of meaningful impact and the work you continue to do every day! đź’™
