Hospital Leaders Can Use HHS Updated Cybersecurity Toolkit to Strengthen Resilience

Federal health officials are offering healthcare leaders a new way to assess cybersecurity risk and tie those risks more directly to patient safety and operational resilience. HHS recently added a cybersecurity module to its Risk Identification and Site Criticality (RISC) 2.0 Toolkit, a free web-based platform used by organizations to evaluate threats and vulnerabilities across their facilities.

Healthcare Risk and AI: Planning for Incident Response and Resilience

CMS Requires Qualified Health Plans Verify Compliance with Patient Safety Standards

The CMS patient safety standards require QHP issuers to confirm hospitals have programs or partnerships in place to promote effective patient safety interventions. These interventions focus on things like reducing the risk of patient harm, engaging patients and families in quality improvement, improving care coordination between providers, and monitoring performance on patient safety events.
