Someone asked me why the other day…….. so I put it on paper to remind myself!
**From Stay-at-Home Mom to Entrepreneur: My Journey into Virtual Assistance, Notary Services, and Travel Advising**
Being a stay-at-home mom to three young kids has been such a blessing. Every day is filled with giggles, cuddles, and ALOT of chaos, but as much as I cherish this time with my family, I started to feel like something was missing. I wanted to keep my finger on the pulse of the business world, stay sharp, and challenge myself in ways that extended beyond the daily routines of diaper changes and constant kids appointments.
That's when I decided to take the leap and start my own business, one that would allow me to stay home with my kids while still engaging in meaningful work. I began by offering Virtual Assistant (VA) services, focusing specifically on non-profits, small construction businesses and real estate agents. These industries were the perfect fit for me because they often require detailed, behind-the-scenes support, which is right in my wheelhouse. I help with everything from scheduling and invoicing to client communication and project management.
But I didn’t stop there. I am also in the process of becoming a Mobile Notary Public, adding another layer of value to my services, especially for busy professionals in the construction and real estate fields who need documents signed quickly and conveniently.
As if that wasn’t enough, I also embarked on a new adventure as a Travel Advisor Independent Agent with InteleTravel. This gives me the opportunity to help others plan their dream vacations, all while earning commission and continuing to grow my business. It's a perfect balance of personal fulfillment and professional growth.
I’m always reminded how lucky I am to have the ability to work from home while raising my kids. But what really drives me is the satisfaction of carving out a space for myself in the business world, keeping my skills sharp, and showing my children that it's possible to pursue your passions and still be present for the things that matter most.
If you’re a mom, or anyone feeling that pull to do more while still staying connected to your family, I’d say go for it. There’s no one-size-fits-all formula, but for me, blending the flexibility of being a SAHM with the excitement of entrepreneurship has been the perfect combination.
