Dear Friends,
Here is your chance, I’m super bad at asking for any help 😊 I’m at my wits end on a subject that I need some assistance with. I have a 2008 Chevy Express 5.3 V8 Van that I have an ignition/ theft deterrent/ no start at the key / dash gauges / fireless injectors- basically no run scenario. I’ve changed the initial issue which was the lock cylinder ( after market )( relearned the keys back in November) after of which it started & ran fine for a month or so. I’ve also changed the Theft module & Ignition switch. Then I noticed the gauges started acting weird during normal operation ( no speedometer / all gauges at zero / no drive indicator etc. On occasion I would have to relearn the keys due to the theft deterrent indicator on the dash. This procedure would I guess band-aid this situation. I know the simple solution of this would be to replace the van, but it actually runs great & well equipped for our day to day carpet cleaning services. I’ve had several people look at it & just recently had it at dealership with no success. Believe me if this was something I could fix ( with the help of Google & YouTube University ) I would’ve been all over it. Actually I’ve change all components back to original except for the damaged original lock cylinder. Also tried resetting the computer by attaching the positive & negative cables for a 12 hour period. And yes the battery is fully charged during all relearn procedures 😊.
