Why I treat AI like a toddler (and why it works!) 👶🤖

Most small business owners I talk to in Baton Rouge have a love-hate relationship with AI. We know it’s powerful, but sometimes it just feels… overwhelming.

I recently decided to "work smarter" by building a custom app using Google AI Studio to handle one of my most tedious monthly chores.

The Headache: Converting high-quality iPhone photos (HEIC) into the perfect size for email newsletters.
The Solution: I didn't hire a developer. I just had a conversation with the AI.

It took a little refinement (just like training a toddler!), but now I have a custom tool that:
✅ Swaps HEIC files to JPEGs instantly.
✅ Resizes them so they don’t "break" my client's emails.
✅ Lets me drag, drop, and download a ZIP folder in seconds.

The result? Less time staring at a progress bar and more time focusing on coaching my clients. ☕✨

AI Ellen may be celebrating just a little too much here, but I did want to share that yesterday I completed the Google AI Professional Certificate. The 7 classes helped me to hone my skills, and I even created my own app that will help me save A LOT of time on a project I complete each month. I am ready to help my clients to implement more AI into their systems. If you have a Google Workspace account, there are things you have access to that you absolutely should be aware of.
