A good day in the shop.
With the wing sitting in the jig and damaged spar removed, our team carefully worked a new Douglas fir spar into place on this 1984 Great Lakes restoration. It was a slow inch-by-inch process. Small victories like this are what bring a classic biplane back to life.
Now that the spar is whole again, this wing is headed to covering, where it will be one step closer to flying again.
