This is a compressor that resembles an Ant and so that’s where it gets its nickname from. The Ant or some technicians call it the Bug. It’s a very unique compressor that’s used on many of Whirlpools high end refrigerators. Special care must be taken during the installation and it also requires special gauges that have not been contaminated with oil. It’s a complete oilless refrigeration system. Such a unique and exciting repair!
