Concrete prep is usually a quick and simple project. Not this one!

We removed all of the material from the existing construction driveway and cut the grade down up to 18” in some areas to create the proper slope for drainage. Almost 200 yards of material was removed before bringing in and spreading the new driveway base.

Now we’ve got a clean looking driveway with the proper slope for drainage. Time for concrete!

That’s a wrap on this build in Oregonia! 🏡

There was a lot of site development that went into getting this property where it is today — a long driveway, extensive grade work, septic system, utility trenching, culverts and drainage solutions, and a barn pad.

It’s always rewarding to watch all the work we’ve completed throughout the build come together and turn a piece of land into a homestead. Another one in the books!

This “driveway” hadn’t seen any maintenance in over 40 years, and it definitely showed. Some of the ruts were nearly 2 feet deep, so this one took some serious work. We reshaped, graded, and brought it back to life. Now it’s built to handle years of use again.
