If I’m honest, this isn’t too far off. Hahha.

Someone hands me full access to the parts of their business they’ve been avoiding… the actual s**t. The intake process they haven’t touched in years, the tools they’re paying for but never use, that thing they’ve been meaning to fix since last spring…

I go in and start moving things around. Building what’s missing, fixing what’s broken, getting rid of what’s not doing anything anymore.

By the time I’m done, you’re not doing things manually anymore. You just.. have it. And you didn’t have to do it yourself to get there.

During an AI audit last week, it occurred to me how often I hear "they don't do it the way I want them to".

And of course not, because often, nothing is written down. It all lives in your head.

In this case, that's exactly what we mapped out - what needed to get documented and in what order, so her team will actually have something real to work from.

This is genuinely one of my favorite parts of an audit. Watching that moment... the moment where "I don't even know where to start" turns into "damn, this is totally possible".

AI is everywhere right now.. and yes, some of it is really useful!

But I’m telling you, not everything should be automated. Some things still need a human… a real response, a personal check-in, a moment where someone actually feels seen.

The goal should never be to replace that. It’s to take the repetitive stuff off your plate so you have space for the things that actually matter. The connections you want to be making. The work only you can do.

The stuff we avoid the longest is rarely the actual problem.

It's the story we've built around it... the embarrassment, the "I should have handled this by now." The fear that asking for help means admitting you don't know everything.

I asked for help this week with something I'd been putting off way too long. The person I reached out to didn't blink and eye... just asked questions and went to work... in the thing that she's do damn good at.

That was the reminder I needed. And maybe you do too.

This month marks one year of running Shine Bright Virtual full time…. and also stepping even further outside my comfort zone to join a co-working space here in town.

I’ve been craving real, authentic connection with other people who are building - not just businesses, but skills and community too. It was a wonderful reminder of how motivating it can be just to be around other humans.

Spent part of this week learning something I hadn’t worked with before. Used it for a client the same day.

I LOVE knowing that’s part of the job. The problems I solve don’t change much - businesses outgrow their systems, things get messy, we clean it up. But the tools? They keep evolving.

And honestly? I love learning new s**t.

Built myself a Zap this week that automatically tracks my hours per client - and at the end of the month, sends me a clean summary pre-populated into a ClickUp task so I don't have to do anything manually.

Here's the embarrassing part: I'd been tracking time across two different systems because I switched tools at some point and never moved one client over. And every month I was manually converting everything to decimal before I could even use the numbers.

I build this kind of thing for clients all the time.

But the truth... it took me way too long to do it for myself. That's just how it is.
