Why your “leads” aren’t converting

If you’re jaded from ‘leads’ that don’t convert…

Or you’re exhausted from working ‘leads’ that don’t respond to you, or you’ve been burnt by previous lead gen companies, this post is for you.

There are new marketing companies selling ‘leads’ every single day. Chances are, most of them are offering you bogus leads.

They pitch you on a lead system that’ll “generate you more leads than you could possibly ever handle!”

Fast forward 3 months later, and the only thing you have to show for is being thousands of dollars down the hole.

You get a bad taste in your mouth with these so called ‘agencies’, so you come to the conclusion that meta ads don’t work.

Here’s the thing.

There’s a market for EVERYTHING. And your clients are on Facebook and Instagram.

The problem is that everyone out there is peddling the same low quality cookie cutter ads system.

Here’s what a typical “Lead Gen” campaign looks like:

—> Agency sets up a Lead form ad
—> Runs generic interests in his niche
—> Runs between a $10-$50 a day in budget
—> Gets LOW quality bogus leads that don’t pick up
—> No booked calls
—> Gets frustrated and terminates contract with agency after a few hundred dollars spent
—> Rinses and repeats the entire process with a new agency

Running Lead Form Ads will NOT get you the leads that will buy from you instantly. If you want cheap leads, then expect cheap results.

The term “LEAD” can mean something totally different depending on the situation.

->When someone opts-in for a free lead magnet, that’s a lead
->When someone fill out a form of any sort, that’s a lead
->When someone goes to the end of a call booking funnel, that’s a lead

Just aiming for “Leads” without paying attention to the “Mechanism” will get you nowhere.

Running a system that use lead form ads will get you the lowest rung of prospects reaching out to you with inaccurate contact info.

They opt-in for free information, and have to be further nurtured using email sequences to eventually get in contact with them.

This is a quantity over quality approach. You’ll need thousands of these kinds of leads to even get 1 deal.

What you should do instead is utilise a system I call the ‘Sales Letter’.

It’s a 3000+ word page that take your prospects from being a bogus lead with no interest of your services, to someone whose emotions are heightened and wants to speak with you because they’re bought into your expertise.

When that’s achieved, they will fill in an application form that further qualifies them on whether they meet your qualifications.

They’re taken to a booking page to schedule a time to speak with you.

The reason why they are qualified is because they have to have read 2000+ words on your service before even qualifying, further ensuring their level of motivation. We only want people with a HIGH motivation level.

So if you’re looking for a long term source of lead flow, make sure you understand exactly what type of ‘leads’ you’re getting.
